The Cabot Competency Curriculum

John Cabot CTC is clearly sign-posted from the centre of Kingswood (A420) and Hanham (A431). It is easily reached from the M4 or M5 via the M32 and the Ring Road (A4174).

From the M32

• Turn Left at Junction 1 onto the Avon Ring Road (A4174)
• Follow signs to Kinsgwood and Warmley
• At the Warmley Junction, take the 3rd exit
• Now follow Directions from the East

Alternative M4 directions

• Exit the M4 At Junction 18, take the first exit at the roundabout
• Follow the A46, (Bath & Stroud). Pass through Pennsylvania
• At the Cold Ashton roundabout take the third exit A420 to Warmley. Pass through Wick.
• At the double Roundabout at Bridge Yate, take the 2nd exit straight over towards Warmley.
• Continue straight tover the large roundabout at Warmley, stay on the A420. Follow signs to Kingswood.
• Now follow Directions from the East

From Bristol City Centre

• Leave Bristol on the A420, (From Bond St turn into Old Market)
• Follow signs for Kinsgwood and Chippenham.
• Turn right at the Kingsway junction (St. Michael’s Church)
• Turn left again after the Primary School into KINGSWAY CRESCENT
• Turn right into KENNARD ROAD.
• Turn right into WOODSIDE ROAD. The entrance is on the right. Visitor Parking is adjacent to the College front entrance.

From the South

• Coming from Bath on the A4, pass through Saltford and join the dual carriageway.
• Take the 3rd exit at Hicks Gate Roundabout onto the ring road A4174.
• Follow signs to Kingswood.
• Continue on the A4174 over 2 further roundabouts. At the next Roundabout take the first left onto the A420.
• Now follow Directions from the East

From the East

• Coming from Chippenham on the A420, approach Kingswood High Street.
• Turn left at the traffic lights(HANHAM ROAD)
• Turn right at the next roundabout into CECIL ROAD.
• At the end of this road turn left into BLACKHORSE ROAD.
• Turn first right into BRITANNIA ROAD.
• Turn Left into WOODSIDE ROAD. The entrance is on the right. Visitor Parking is adjacent to the College front entrance.

By Rail

• Bristol Parkway (6 miles) is the smaller of the city's two stations. Taxis available.
• Bristol Temple Meads (4 miles) is the main station for Bristol. Taxis available. Alternatively you may take a bus to Broadmead or Old Market and transfer to Kingswood.

By Air

• From Bristol International Airport to Bristol City Centre, follow the A38 to Bristol City Centre.
